Gold Savings Passbook Account is like you buy the gold (in grams) and let the bank keep it for you. You will be given a Passbook Account. Your savings will be recorded as how many grams Gold you have, not in terms of how much money you have invested.
Other things to note:
- Minimum deposit: 5gm
- Trading unit: Minimum 5gms in multiples of 1gm
- Fineness: 999.9 gold
- Administrative charge: 0.25% p.a.

The problem with paper money is that governments can create unlimited amounts. This is what they have done throughout history and especially in the last 100 years and which has led to the total destruction of most currencies.
